MMR has multiple pieces of equipment specially designed to
process wood waste and other biomass materials into
recyclable products. Its Equipment includes two Morbark
7600s (1,000 horsepower each), mobile grinding machines
manufactured in Michigan, multiple front end loaders,
telehandlers, trucks and specifically designed vans to carry
wood chips.
MMR has the resources to properly manage wood waste in an environmentally friendly manner and to its
best economic use. We have the resources to properly manage,
process and transport this material for its ultimate use. We
work with, and are approved by, the Michigan Department of
Environmental Quality to insure we maintain the best
standards for proper storage, handling, processing and use
of the wood waste.
Processing at MMR recovery yards and at the Genesee Power
Station is performed under strict wood handling and
processing procedures. Processing varies depending on
material type and end use. MMR personnel are trained to
identify and handle different material types consistent with
proper procedures. In order to minimize environmental
risk these procedures are in conformity with and are
authorized by the Michigan Department of Environmental
Quality.
